A New York City-based hospitality group for all New Yorkers that thrives on facilitating human connection in iconic environments, Authentic Hospitality has owned and operated some of the city’s most revered venues and played host to hundreds of memorable events. Its approach has always emphasized inclusivity and accessibility, without compromising quality, creativity, and originality.

Our History
Authentic’s journey has been anything but ordinary. Co-founders Matt Kliegman and Carlos Quirarte began their first foray into hospitality in 2009 with The Smile — referred to by GQ as the “white-hot center of New York cool” — and the legendary Jane Hotel Ballroom. Once dubbed the “nice guys of nightlife” by WWD, they joined forces with seasoned nightlife professional Matthew Charles in 2021 to form Authentic Hospitality. They've gone on to open and operate everything from bakeries & coffee shops to nightclubs & performance venues.

As seen at pop-ups at Art Basel, South x Southwest and Stagecoach Music Festival, our venues are excellent opportunities to leverage brand awareness at key cultural moments throughout the United States and beyond. We look to partner with brands with a similar mindset to create memorable, temporary activations nationwide.
